Maya was designed in 1962. The cutlery is comfortable to hold with its well rounded edges and the handles are relatively wide for a good grip. The cutlery has a pleasing weight with a distinctively simple geometric design. 

Maya has been awarded the Good Design prize and the Classic award for good design by the Norwegian Design Council.
Maya is also included in Phaidon's Design Classics and it is included in the collection of MoMA in New York and The Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
